PlayStation 3 Sales Spike Following Sony Gamers’ Day
Interest in PS3 on Amazon.co.uk peaks
Interest in, and sales of, PlayStation 3 have risen notably on Amazon.co.uk, following the PS3 media blitz from Sony’s Gamers Day last week.
After the wave of media and hands-on previews and opinions on games such as Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Heavenly Sword (pictured) the PS3 was bumped up the list of most sought after items on amazon.co.uk, according to website psu.com.
We should see if the sales peak over last week and the weekend just gone has had any significant effect on the software charts tomorrow morning.
We should have more on Sony's big-hitters, including Metal Gear Solid 4 and Killzone 2, in the very near future.

Nice but can that turn into sales. Heavenly Sword looks lovely and i'd love to play it. Its gonna take a miracle to really get Sony back in the game.

Not really sony got next six to twelve months of non stop big hitters, also two big titles which still be attracting interest, is Home and Little Big Planet,.
Also I predict a price cuts across the board.
I think Nintendo will used it momentum by the end of this year when people start to relised and gimickly it is. Also I predict that most of people will not buy new games for the system.
And as for the XBOX 360 when their something new and original for it then I may consider it.

But the pier's burned down from the other year. And they won't let me fish there anymore.

Sony is not out of the game. They have a much different strategy than the other two competing console makers. They still sell far more PS2's than any other console (minus the Wii) and have promised support for that platform for another three years. Three years is more than enough time to recoup from dollars lost on the PS3 and has plenty of time to ramp up development. The PS3 will be the leader this time around; it's just a matter of understanding the market. Most those do not see a void whereas those of us that understand Sony's position see promise.
