Oh, it’s all so confusing! Is Warhawk going to be made available on disc or as a download?
SCEA has laid the matter to rest at this week’s gamers day event. Warhawk is going to be available in the US later this year both on disc for $60 (£30) and as a download for a mere $30 (£15).
If you shell out for the $60 expenso-disc version then you will be rewarded with a bunch of extra materials including a bespoke Bluetooth headset as well as loads of developer interviews, behind-the-scenes footage and so on.
Whether this is all worth the extra $30 (£15) is a moot point. SPOnG has spoken with Sony’s PR reps in the UK this morning and we are awaiting confirmation as to whether or not a similar disc-plus-download delivery will be employed over here.
The public beta test for Warhawk in the US kicks off on on May 24th and, again, we await word from Sony in the UK as to when British gamers can get involved.
