Eidos has just announced a Wii version is in the works of the forthcoming
Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Anniversary, though the publisher remains adamant that there are still definitely no plans to bring the game to ‘proper’ next gen consoles, PS3 and Xbox 360.
"The Wiimote & Nunchuck controller allows Wii gamers to control Lara in brand new, unique ways, and there are plenty of new features, to be revealed soon, which will ensure Anniversary really hits the spot - literally," commented Kathryn Clements, Senior Brand Manager,
Tomb Raider.
“We can’t really say much more at this stage, but we’ll be releasing more info in due course on the Wii controls,” Kathryn told SPOnG earlier today.
Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Anniversary is scheduled for release on PlayStation 2 and PC on June 1, with a PSP version to follow shortly after. The Wii version is due later this year.
