We may all get our hands on
LittleBigPlanet sooner than we thought, according to rumours doing the rounds. German website GameFront reports that a demo of the jewel in Sony's network crown will be released in Autumn this year, well ahead of the planned 2008 full release.
SPOnG contacted Sony for confirmation and was met with an elusive “We've got no announcements about LittleBigPlanet at this time.” That said, when the game was announced at
Phil Harrison's GDC Keynote, Harrison stated that the game, “Will be out later this year on the network and early next year on Blu-ray disk.” “On the network” could very well refer to a demo that Sony's carefully not announcing.
Sony's giving PSN a bit of a nudge at the moment. It showed off
LittleBigPlanet along with other networked games such as the
recently delayed Calling All Cars from
God of War creator David Jaffe at its Three Rooms in Shoreditch yesterday.
