Father Of PlayStation "Working With A Wider World" - Nintendo? No Way
Soon to retire 'Representative Director, Chairman and Group CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment', Ken Kutaragi, has told EETimes that, "As a matter of course, I have the vision of Playstation 4, 5 and 6, which will merge into the network", and this vision has been passed on to the current development team.

We love a bit of politics, so we love the fact that Ken's statement can also be read as, "Right, Stringer, the PlayStation will continue even after I have moved on - why? Because I've just told the whole bloody world, that's why!" The Stringer in question being Welsh-born, naturalised American Sony CEO, Howard Stringer. The relationship between the two men has, according to legend (read, 'rumour'), never been the most amiable.

In terms of his future, Ken was also keen to slip out the fact that, "Now I'm ready to start working with a much wider world". Bear in mind that the great man developed a processor for Nintendo while working at Sony, and that a wider world basically means anywhere outside Sony.

Now, we're certainly not going to state that Ken Kutaragi will soon be seen popping up in the offices of major competitors with whom he's already had good relations as this would be adding 2+2 and coming up with 22. However, we seriously cannot see the 57-year old retiring to quiet retirement yet...
