Aah - we’ve all been there, eh? Horribly, shamefully dumped by some uncaring bitch who never realised just how much we really, really loved her.
However, unlike Andrew Rosenblum, founder and host of videogame review show GameLife, few of us have ever actually threatened to murder the lady in question. Particularly the day after the worst campus killing in US history.
Today’s Boston Herald reports that hot-headed Rosenblum has been arrested by Boston Police for sending an email to his ex-girlfriend which, according to a police report, read: "(I)'m gonna (expletive) bring a gun to your school and kill you and K (another female student) and everybody you love. It's gonna be VT all over again ... Seriously I'm just that demented ... killing people can change people's lives forever. The best is in the end when I pull the trigger on myself, too."
The report goes on to outline that the ex-girlfriend in question was a 19-year-old who Rosenblum had been on three dates with earlier in the school year. She then dumped him. He then threatened to go postal.
The girl in question, cleverly/maliciously (delete according to misogyny) printed and saved the emails and eventually called the cops. The investigation is ongoing.
Kotaku report that Melissa, one of GameLife’s hosts has commented on the case: “I only recently learned of this. Anyone who knows Andrew knows he would never do anything violent. This was clearly a cry for attention that came from a very dark and lonely place inside of Andrew. It seems the media in general is already treating this as some hot topic when, in reality, it is a small story about a sad and confused guy who needs to get some help. He is now getting that help.”
