We’re glad to report that the first bunch of downloadable tunes for
Guitar Hero II on Xbox 360 have gone up on Xbox Live Marketplace today.
The tunes are delivered in ‘track packs’ of three and include the awesome
Bark at the Moon “as made famous by” - or alternatively “a cover of the original by” – Ozzy ‘drug casualty/rock lord’ Osbourne.
Each
Guitar Hero II track pack will set you back 500 Microsoft Points, or £4.25 in real world terms.
All tracks have been specially made into
Guitar Hero II tracks – so one player can play lead and one, should they wish, can play the big twanging bass. Here’s the full track listing available right now.
Track Pack 1
Bark at the Moon (as made famous by Ozzy Osbourne)
Hey You (as made famous by The Exies)
Ace of Spades (as made famous by Motorhead)
Track Pack 2
Killer Queen (as made famous by Queen)
Take It Off (as made famous by The Donnas)
Frankenstein (as made famous by The Edger Winter Group)
Track Pack 3
Higher Ground (as made famous by Red Hot Chili Peppers)
Infected (as made famous by Bad Religion)
Stellar (as made famous by Incubus)
There are also a couple of
Guitar Hero II picture packs, priced at 100 points each and a new theme, priced at 150 points - if you have Microsoft Points to burn.
It almost seems churlish to suggest that the only thing that could make this news better would be if Red Octane had managed to obtain the original tunes for a
Guitar Hero II makeover - a bit like Harmonix/EA/MTV plans to do with
Rock Band later this year... Churlish, but true.

Guitar Hero II page for more. Our full review should be up shortly.
