More details seeping out on
NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams today, via an update on Sega Europe's website, with details emerging on WiiConnect24 implementation in the game (including Wii Forecast Channel functionality!), NiGHTS’s shape-shifting abilities and more.
Three sets of Persona masks give the player new shape-shifting abilities and more ways to explore the world, including a dragon mask which transforms NiGHTS into a huge dragon and makes him/her/it resistant to wind effects; a dolphin mask that changes NiGHTS into a dolphin so s/he can explore under water and a rocket mask which makes NiGHTS take the shape of a rocket that can move at supersonic speeds.
The website also reveals some vague details on the game's Wii Connect 24 features, via which you will be able to swop in-game items with friends and – intriguingly – the in-game scenery will alter according to real-world weather condition info from the Wii’s Forecast Channel.
NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams is down for release on Wii this winter 2007. More screens, info and a more concrete release date as soon as we get them.
