Colin McRae: DIRT, from Codemaster’s superlative driving studio, is finally out this coming June on Xbox 360 and PC, with a PS3 version to follow soon after.
Here at SPOnG we are excited about
Colin McRae: DIRT for two reasons. Firstly, we love the Colin McRae series. It’s become a clear mark of quality, so all talk of a new next gen version was always going to pump pure excitement directly into our rallying glands.
Secondly, we’ve just seen the latest
Colin McRae: DIRT trailer video which you can see or download at the bottom of this news piece, which we feel explains visually why you should also be getting excited about the dour rallying Scot’s latest videogame outing.
Codies describe the video as follows, “Opening with cliff-edge cornering on Pikes Peak, one of the breathtaking Hill Climb events, the video trails the bump and grind of buggy racing and reveals McRae’s very own prototype performance car, the R4, in a dramatic crash sequence…. Created using in-game vehicle and environmental models, this is just a first taste of the exhilaration Colin McRae: DIRT™ promises…”
In the final version of
Colin McRae: DIRT you’ll be racing the world, from the narrow mountain roads of Spain, through to the twisting forest roads of UK, the technical vineyard stages of Germany and the fast flowing turns of the hill climb racing in the U.S. Not to mention all the full on off-road events in Italy, France, Germany, Japan and Australia.
Stay tuned tomorrow for the first ‘in-game footage’ video of
