Arcade CLASSIC 1945 returns to home console

Classic shoot-em-ups will never die, if Capcom has anything to do with it.

Capcom has announced that a version of its 2000 arcade Strikers 1945 is nearing completion for PlayStation.

The arcade version went straight in at the top of Japan’s most wanted coin-op charts and went on to be a massive success.

The PlayStation version is being developed by new company Psikyo, of Gunbird fame, and is slated for release this April.

Strikers 1945 follows in the style of Capcom’s 80’s arcade games 1941, 1942 and 1943, as an up-scrolling 2D shooter with a plethora of power-ups.
