Mark Feldman's Wii magic...
Here’s news of two options to use original SNES and NES controllers with the Nintendo Wii - designed for use with the increasingly sexy Virtual Console download system, wired and wireless options are on offer.

The first is the commercially-available RetroPort set from RetroZone covering NES and SNES options. These are simply adapters that plug into the GameCube controller slots in your Wii flaps (perhaps the only Wii pun still allowed?); plug in your original pads and you're set.

Next is a DIY wireless hack of the original Nintendo controllers from hobbyist Mark Feldman, a video of which you can be seen here. Quite inspiring, we're sure you'll agree. We especially like the way Mark explains making one as though he's reading out ingredients for making cheese on toast. Details of his exploits can be found on his site.

We've contacted Mark and RetroZone for more information on what they're up to, so with any luck you'll be seeing more from the Super Happy Family end (rather than the less-attractive end) of the hacker scene in the coming weeks.

Good to see some ingenious people out there. I'd rather just get a Wii classic controller and be done with it.

Don't you just love those wonderful inventor people. Now make me a SNES rumble pack. Lol.

Optimus Prime is totally right. put a decent d-pad and analogue stick on the 64 pad and you are laughing!
