Dark Age of Camelot Freebies Galore

Plus, Python-themed Spamalot MMO due?

If you fancy nabbing an extremely cool Alienware gaming lappy then don’t forget it’s the last day of SPOnG’s laptop compo today promoting the Mythic-developed and GOA/France Telecom-published Dark Age of Camelot: Labyrinth of the Minotaur

We remind you of this, not only out of the good of our hearts, but for three other important reasons. Firstly, the game’s European Publisher, GOA, has just released Dark Age of Camelot's fifth expansion pack, Catacombs as a freebie, in an attempt to cheer up any current players who’ve not yet bought it and/or entice back lapsed and reel in new players.

Catacombs adds to the original DAoC with better graphics, new character classes and new underground cities and dungeons and so on. If you are intrigued and/or really still don’t have a clue what we are banging on about, then you can download a free 14-day trial of this classic European MMO from The Dark Age of Camelot website.

The second reason we remind you of DAoC today is simply because the new expansion pack - Dark Age of Camelot: Labyrinth of the Minotaur – is released a week today.

And the third and final reason is that we’ve also just realised that day is Valentine’s day so don’t forget to go and buy some flowers and trinkets to keep those loved ones happy. Or maybe even get them a copy of Dark Age of Camelot: Labyrinth of the Minotaur.

Remember the old adage – those who play together, stay together!

In the meantime, SPOnG wonders aloud when some bright spark developer is going to tap the huge market for Monty Python nostalgia with a Spamalot themed MMO. Just a thought…
