Forza Motorsport 2 has finally been given a North American release date. Microsoft Game Studios' next-gen racer will hit American shelves in May, according to the official game site's weekly update.
The awkwardly named
Pitpass Report gives no exact date but states 'optimistic estimates have us at retail in the first half of May'. In response to the obvious question "when in May?" community manager Che Chou writes:
"Wait, so just May 2007? No exact release date? Not if we could help it. Our schedule right now has us hitting Xbox certification around the middle of April and going gold soon aftewards. We want them to put the game on shelves as soon and fast as they can humanly muster."
Forza 2 was originally slated for a release over Christmas but September saw the
announcement that the game had slipped back to 2007.
SPOnG contacted Microsoft to see if May is when we Europeans will also see the game but is still waiting on a response.
