Your Face On Your Wii
Just to make sure that us gajin really truly understand where we rank in the minds of Nintendo central, the company has announced two freebies for Platinum Club members but only in the homeland.

First up – and yes, we want one – is the ability to send Nintendo your Mii and for the company to return a sticker of that same smiling face which you can attach to your battery cover. This not only says that you have managed to get your Wii online, but that it's your bloody Wii Remote.

If that doesn’t press your buttons (how sad are you?) or if you've not bought your Wii and therefore have no Mii, then you might prefer a free copy of Tingle’s Balloon Fight on DS. Yup, Zelda’s favourite map-making lard-boy, gets his own outing for your handheld.

But as we said, both items are only available in Japan. As soon as Nintendo over here gets back from eating stuffing and Wiiing, we’ll find out why when we’re going to get a chance at customised Wii Remotes and Tingle.

Before we go, here’s the badly translated release from Nintendo itself. (SPOnG’s Wakefield-based Japanese translator, Mr Yaritomo, simply gave up the ghost and headed out for some rice wine)

“The customized MiiMote: Stamping, we present favourite Mii where the platinum member was made to the electric battery cover of Wii remote control. By the fact that you install in stock Wii remote control, one, your own sufficient Wii remote control are completed in the world.

“Mii becomes the hallmark with the monochrome. Transmitting Mii picture which stamps in advance to Nintendo Co., because it receives, the environment which can connect Wii itself and Wii itself to Internet is necessary. Wii remote control is not included in the present. Of the white which stamps it is the present 1 of electric battery covers.

“Tingle’s Balloon Fight: 35 year old celibacies “[chinkuru]” challenge to ‘the balloon fighting spirit’ of the bosom oak which corresponds to 2 pictures of DS, boldly. We deliver limiting to just the platinum member, it is the original [nintendo] DS private game software.”
