Nintendo has confirmed that it will be in attendance at the Tokyo Game Show this Spring, following the organisers announcement that there will be a portable game zone area at the event.
Held between March 30th and April 1st, the TGS is the main showcase for game talent before E3, the Tokyo event considered by many to be an appetiser to the year’s main event in LA.
Nintendo had previously stated that it had little interest in standing the show, stating that traditionally the main focus at TGS was on arcade and home console gaming. It is suspected that the portable gaming zone has been included in order to attract Nintendo to the event. Bandai has decided snub the portable zone and show its WonderSwan Color outside of the area.
As the current list of titles stands, Sony has the majority share with 53 of the 72 confirmed games showing on either PSone or PlayStation 2.
