As gamers worldwide begin to get revved up about Gran Turismo 5 – the "online car life simulator" – which is due sometime in 2008, Sony announces that a re-named Gran Turismo HD Concept will no longer be released as a boxed version. Instead it will be made available as a free downloadable demo via the PlayStation Store on December 24th.
The download is currently only announced for Japan and will only be available for a limited period. It will feature a choice of ten cars and two layouts on a single course, with two modes: Time Attack and Drift Trial mode. There will also be a Network Ranking feature for the Time Attack mode.

Sony are seriously back tracking on this one, sounds to me like someone is throwing out this demo in a attempt to drop a s**t idea & buy sometime.

dont forget they are concentrating on GT5 HD.....which will probably be spilling over with micro transactions
