Chili Con Carnage is no ordinary action game, as publisher Eidos is telling us. Oh no, CCC is billed a ‘high action’ game for PSP, due at some unspecified point in the future. Check the first batch of screens right here on SPOnG for a good idea of what’s in store.
It seems, after all, that the game is not about trying to expunge low quality Mexican food from your intestine after a particularly heavy night out! The title, being developed by Deadline Games, comes with this side order of cheesy strapline: "Go loco in the seedy underworld of Los Toros as Ramiro Cruz, avenging the assassination of his father by creating maximum carnage in the inner circles of the local kingpin Cesar Morales’ drug cartel."
Eidos is promising ‘super spicy action’ alongside over-the-top, gravity-defying special moves, weapons galore and an array of ‘colourful’ characters, including moustachioed mercenaries, megalomaniacal crime lords and chemically mutated super Mama’s.
CCC is to feature 19 missions across a range of exotic locations spanning sprawling cities to dense jungle, plus both single and multiplayer modes. The game is being described by none other than Larry Sparks, Eidos’ Head of Brands Management, as "a super-hot action game experience with a strong whiff of tequila." What? No refried beans? Es mierda!
We’ll bring you more CCC news and a release date as they roll in from Eidos.
