It’s a good night for Xbox Live subscribers tonight, as they’ll be able to grab the whopping 1GB demo of Need for Speed Carbon that’s just gone up, courtesy of EA.
The final game is due nearer Xmas and EA is sure to be going all out for the third seasonal number one in a row in the series, so the demo should give you a good idea if you need to play another Need for Speed this winter.
From the press release for the game, we are informed that Need for Speed Carbon is all about “the world's most dangerous and adrenaline-filled form of street racing.”
It continues: “You and your crew must race in an all-out war for the city, risking everything to take over your rivals' neighbourhoods one block at a time. As the police turn up the heat, the battle ultimately shifts to Carbon Canyon, where territories and reputations can be lost on every perilous curve. Need for Speed Carbon delivers the next generation of customization giving you the power to design and tweak your crew's cars in every way using the ground-breaking new Autosculpt(TM) technology. Represent your car class, your crew, and your turf in Need for Speed Carbon, the next revolution in racing games.”
If you’re on Live, it’s gotta be worth the effort of autosculpting your finger around that green button on the controller to obtain the free playable demo.

well ive played it... and the demo is pritty short and no where near as good as the most wanted demo.
as for the game, autosculpt is pritty cool but im not convinced by it yet. the racing involves teams or something which im not sure about. the drifting part is ok but seemed far too easy! and this canyon business is rather odd aswell...
all in all i dont know what to make of it. i was very impressed by most wanted, and im not sure this has what it takes to better it. but maybe im wrong, a better demo might have helped!
