Microsoft has just announced the (re)launch of the official, kiddy-friendly Viva Pinata website, with a load of new info on Rare's next major Xbox 360 exclusive, plus all the skinny on the Viva Piņata animated television series, produced by 4Kids Entertainment and Bardel Entertainment.
You can check out the website at
VivaPinata.com where you can discover more about Piņata Island and its inhabitants through a wealth of downloadable content, including Piņata profiles, mini-games in the Piņata Arcade, ringtones, television episode titles and summaries, and loads more funny papier-mache madness.
There's also all the stuff you need to build your own Viva Pinata fansite, which we suspect is aimed at parents with younger children, although our Stefan has shown an unhealthy interest in developing his own fansite, so we'll be sure to keep you updated with his efforts. He's not the most creative when it comes to web design, but he means well and he tries hard, so we'll continue to humour him.
Whilst the fansite building might be something for the younger kids to enjoy with mums and dads though, we are all genuinely intrigued about the game, and very much looking forward to playing it. If you've been living on the moon for the last year and you have no idea what Viva Pinata is, then you might want to pop over to
SPOnG's dedicated Viva Pinata page to catch up.
We expect that we'll be bringing you much more Viva Pinata news as well as all the other latest Xbox 360 news from Microsoft's X06 shindig taking place in sunny Barcelona in a couple of weeks time. But first of course, we have those Nintendo announcements to look forward to and then the wonder that is the Tokyo Game Show next week.
Thank heavens the summer's nearly over. Soon we can start playing some decent games again.
