Splinter Cell: Double Agent Dated

Ubisoft announces Tom Clancy news bonanza.

Ubisoft has finally confirmed the release date for the next instalment in their ever popular Splinter Cell series, with the Double Agent incarnation due out on Xbox 360 on October 20, and on PC, Xbox, PS2 and GameCube on October 27.

SPOnG will of course bring you a full review of this highly-anticipated title in the coming month, and we are already bickering in the office as to who gets first dibs as soon as we get the code in.

Master of sneaking out for a crafty fag, Simon SPOnG is in fact planning on absailing down the side of the company's Wakefield Towers base to intercept the postie on the day it arrives, before the package gets into the wrong hands. He's not really, but in reality, he'll probably make some rubbish excuse about having to pop out to 'pay for his parking' when he spies the postman wandering up the road, in order to snag the Tom Clancy prize. He's no Sam Fisher is our Simon, despite his innate sneakiness.

In the meantime, and filler text aside, feast your eyes on the latest screens from the game right here, and check out all the information and assets at SPOnG’s dedicated Splinter Cell: Double Agent page.

In other Ubisoft news, we’ll be seeing a veritable raft of top quality next gen releases in October including SPOnG’s Wii most-wanted Rayman Raving Rabbids and the PlayStation 3 launch title, Rainbow Six Vegas.
