Guitar Hero 2 Latest - Spinal Tap, Police, Nirvana
For fans of Spinal Tap everywhere, news today from October’s EGM magazine cover story reveals that the mighty Tap is to appear in Guitar Hero 2 with its metal anthem "Tonight I'm Gonna Rock You Tonight.”

If you are not a fan of Spinal Tap then you either have not seen the movie or have a serious sense of humour bypass. Either that, or, like many of SPOnG’s friends, your mates quote the movie to you ad infinitum (along with their well-rehearsed lines from "Withnail and I", most probably) and you’ve just had enough.

SPOnG would like to think we could take some credit for Tap appearing on the GH2 bill, as we pressed the guys from Harmonix on this very point when we saw them back in the early summer. However, it's hardly an 'original idea' and we are sure that around 456 other games journalists have requested the same thing, so we'll let it lie.

So we’ll not bore you with trying to be amusing by repeating Spinal Tap lines, but we will make you happy by revealing to you the latest Guitar Hero 2 lineup, which now includes:

# Nirvana; "Heart-Shaped Box"
# Primus (original recording); "John the Fisherman"
# Stone Temple Pilots; "Trippin' on a Hole in a Paper Heart
# Anthrax; "Madhouse
# Motley Crue; "Shout at the Devil"
# The Police; "Message in a Bottle"
# The Pretenders; Tattooed Love Boys
# Spinal Tap; "Tonight I'm Gonna Rock You Tonight
# Heart; "Crazy on You"
# Allman Brothers Band; "Jessica"
# Lynyrd Skynrd; "Freebird"
# Avenged Sevenfold; "Beast and the Harlot"
# Dick Dale; "Misirlou"
# Lamb of God; "Laid to Rest"
# Alice in Chains; "Them Bones"
# Reverend Horton Heat; "Psychobilly Freakout"
# Black Sabbath; "War Pigs"
# KISS; "Strutter"
# Butthole Surfers; "Who Was in My Room Last Night?"
# Van Halen; "You Really Got Me"
# Guns N' Roses; "Sweet Child O'Mine
# The Rolling Stones; "Can You Hear Me Knocking?"
# Rush; "YYZ"

As SPOnG told you last month, Guitar Hero 2 will be out in early November in the States and later in November in Europe. It’s like, how much more black could it be? (enough already! – Ed).
