Well I felt nothing at all happen in my pants when I opened the first screen shot and by the time I had seen all of them I think my penis had actually got smaller! So will the online component be dumped a week before launch like the last GT game? Will there be 7000 cars but no damage? I relly think GT only can be compared to PGR because Forza is light years ahead of GT in all aspects. I really expected more from the screenshots guys. It looks like Forza 1 on my old xbox on a high def TV.

much as i want to be on the forza loving bandwagon, inspite of it being a seriosuly underpwoered system GT4 i think had a nicer "look" to it than Forza. It "looks" more photoreal, forza is a bit plasticky. Course it has GT beat in almost every category (sans car count). But as far as the the graphics go i think the art direction on GT is a bit better, but then it was the 4th iteration and the second on that system.
Forza2 does look set to kick some serious ass though.

i wasnt blown away by those gt4 screens, i dont know what forza 2 will look like but id say it has a chance to be better than this looks-wise

Well I don't really care what is what - I only care what I like. Personally, I think it's all down to how shiny the cars are, which GT wins at, I'm afraid.
Plus, "Gran Turismo" sounds cool, whereas "Forza" sounds s**t. You might disagree until now, but any word ending in "mo" is much cooler than any word ending in "za".
Bluntly, as far as I believe, Gran Turismo is the "real" driving simulator - Forza cannot beat it in the fundamental aspects, so it beats it in everything else it can, the superficial aspects.

to be honest, im not too bothered about gt vs forza. racing games arent my favourite genre, and furthermore; realistic racing games arent my favourite sub-category of the racing genre.
but those screen shots dont look particularly realistic. i dont expect them to look like real life, but if im to believe the hype around the ps3's power id expect more.
maybe gt4's cars are too shiny. which you like, but looks odd to me.

Both Forza (2) and GT4HD and PGR3 and whatever are not Next-gen.
They don't have 20+ AI-adversaries on the track making it hard as ass for you to win. If you don't have that, you're not next-gen racing game period.

Pfft...I don't consider online and System Link multiplayer superficial, shiny cars and art direction, thats superficial and I give GT the nod there.

Yeah, but all thats just eye candy...its nice sure, but if you don't have a TV that does 1080p what good is it?
When GT 5 comes out, if ever, then we'll see, I just have much more confidence in a true sequel and upgrade to a proven online multiplayer performer, than GT4 all tarted up with online tacked on like bra padding...and little confidence in Sony not dropping at least one of the balls it'll have to keep up in the air for this to be a smashing success...

that doesn't look much better than GT4 on the PS2, which i bought, playd on it 4 one day & after completing all of GT3 A-spec i thought.... ive done this all before, it's boring...

GT HD is a tech demo, and as so, is probably not running on true PS3 hardware...
