Rockstar has released a new trailer and a wodge of information for its upcoming school-em-up Bully, via its official website. Good news for those of us who have been yearning for the simpler, more innocent days of our youth to return to us, but don't want to go the trouble of getting a lobotomy.
Retro-living, regression...call it what you will, it's been catching on for a while. Most of the SPOnG staffers have been to varying lengths to try and relive their childhoods – be it the purchasing of Scalextric (usually for that 'nephew' or 'younger brother' that they don't have) or dressing up in school uniforms and parading down the local 80's club. Then we realised the bunches didn't really work on our Svend and we all looked a bit silly, so we went home.
In Bully though, you can actually see your schooldays again, and cause total anarchy if you so desire this time around – albeit in New England rather than soggy old Britain. In true Rockstar fashion however, not much is known about the game other than the infamy it has gained by being labelled a 'bullying simulator'. Can you say 'free publicity'?
Those who visit the official website will be able to read a 'prospectus' on the game's fictional Bullworth Academy and watch a short new clip of the game in action. We've been able to get a bit more of an angle on what and who we'll face in class, where we can go, and even a snippet highlighting that protagonist Jimmy Hopkins might not be a bully to actually start off with. The choice, it would seem, is up to you, the player.

SPOnG will be getting a rather juicy hands-on in the next few weeks which will hopefully demystify the controversy cloud that is Bully.
