Trekkies will be almost throwing parties (read: being less sad alone in front of a computer monitor) at news that every single Star Trek captain ever will be providing voice talent for Bethesda's new Trekking game according to Star Trek fansites we visited today using 128-Bit encrypted proxies, the captains have never even all attended the same convention before, let alone speak in a microphone in separate studios at separate times over the course of a year!
William Shatner ("Kirk"), Patrick Stewart ("Picard"), Scott Bakula ("Archer"), Avery Brooks ("Sisko") and Kate Mulgrew ("Janeway") have all agreed to the project, which if you're a fan must be pretty good news.
"I am delighted to have the chance to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Star Trek with my fellow captains by providing our voices to 'Star Trek: Legacy'," said Shatner, the best Star Trek captain who kept it real with his intergalactic one-man sex invasion back in the day. "Bethesda Softworks has done an excellent job in creating an exciting game that stays true to Star Trek's roots and accurately incorporates elements from each series."
The project, Star Trek: Legacy, is without a doubt set to be the the most ambitious game spawned by the series to date, spanning the massive universe as featured in all iterations of the immortal show and is in development for 360 and PC, slated for release at some point this autumn. Or fall, if you're an American.
