Neo-Apocalyptic Action from Atari

Publisher announces Bullet Witch for Europe.

Atari has today announced that it is to publish Japanese developer AQ Interactive’s Bullet Witch for Xbox 360 in Europe, first of a number of planned titles in a strategic partnership for both companies.

The game, a demon-slaying action shooter with a dash of magic, is set on a typically dystopic “...bleak planet earth in the year 2013 with human kind on the brink of extinction and hideous demons creating a tidal wave of destruction and havoc.”

To SPOnG, this sounds a little bit like present day Hackney, East London. You play as 'save-the-day' witch Alicia, blessed with magical skills and a swift trigger finger. Atari is also (already) promising post launch downloadable content. You can see the first batch of screens from the game to the right.

The inevitable corporo-quote this time comes from none other than Jean Michel Perbet, Infogrames’ Deputy Chief Operating Officer (a DCOO, no less!) “We are very pleased to announce this partnership with AQ Interactive Inc. and look forward to working with them on Bullet Witch and into the future… To have such an engaging and unique title as Bullet Witch to kick start our partnership is superb and underlines Atari’s commitment to bringing interesting and different titles to gamers all over the world.”
