As the information trail grows cold, information you should store away only in the file clearly marked RUMOUR sees Bungie making a shift away from the first-person shooter to a new genre for an upcoming game project, likely to debut at this year's X06 event.
Real-time strategy and role-playing genres have been mooted amongst journalist and developer circles, though in spite of our best efforts (and an extensive bout of research) we are unable to offer anything concrete on the matter. We do know that a major new IP from Microsoft Game Studios is set for showing in the very near future.
