Opera has just announced that its DS web browser will be launching in Japan on July 24th, costing our Japanese cousins a mere 3,800 YEN ($33/£18) to buy online.
From
Opera's website, "The DS browser will initially be sold online only at a price of 3,800 yen, and come with an additional memory expansion pack. Nintendo has not yet announced product release dates for the U.S. and Europe. More details about the Opera browser for Nintendo DS will be unveiled on July 24."
Bah! It’s always those lucky Japanese DS users that get all the cool stuff ages before we do. Well, not ages, SPOnG hopes. DS Lites will be in stores this Friday, June 23rd. To coincide with the launch we’ll be giving away a load of the shiny new handhelds along with games and all kinds of outdoor, summery bits and bobs – so make sure you're back here on Friday, is not sooner.
We’ll bring you more information on DS Interweb on the go as soon as we get it.
