Super Smash Bros. Brawl – Latest From Game Director

Masahiro Sakurai keeps fans in the Wii loop.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl - so the game’s director has posted on the official game site - is to be designed to be easy enough to appeal to newcomers. So it sounds like the game will not be targeted towards fans of overly fiddly combos. This is perhaps a good thing, as one might hurt one’s wrist flicking about the Wiimote too quickly. Wii-wrist is no doubt going to me a medically recognised condition amongst many gamers this time next year!

Back to Super Smash Brawl, Masahiro Sakurai also discusses the awesome character line-up, stressing that it is still to be finalised and they are still likely to add one or two other well-known non-Nintendo characters into the game. Finally, there is also the mention of a possible Smash Bros. title on DS, which really would keep the fanboys happy.

Watch this space to hear more on this, plus to find out who those characters are, as soon as SPOnG finds out. Random guesses in the forum below please.

I would just like to point out that they are not useing the wii mote for this game...they decided to use the classic pad instead because they didnt want to use the controller just to use it...I just say this because the news is saying

like the guy above mentioned, super smash bros. for n64 was probably one of the simplest game set ups i ever played which is what made it so enjoyable, which made it a great party game and also made a deep style that took a while to master. i cant even think of a good way to use the wii mote in a ssb game, so the use of the game pad will be good.

Mr. Director
I think the new super smash bros game should have
boss stages, because I've noticed the ridley music from the website
and the game should have bosses like ridley, giga bowser and the two
master hands
So how about it?
