Snake in Super Smash Bros. Brawl – new pics
No real-world guns. Just bombs. Oh that’s ok then!
When Nintendo announced at E3 that the forthcoming Wii title, Super Smash Bros. Brawl was to feature none other than our favourite chain-smoking sneak, Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid, there were whoops of delight from the children in the audience.
Well, when we say children, we actually mean the assembled webmasters in their late twenties, who really should know better.
Still, whilst SPOnG didn’t shout and scream like a tit, we are quietly excited about the game. And as such we’d like to quietly and without any fuss, show you these just released new pics of Snake.
Smash Bros. Dojo website has been updated with a character profile for Snake, which informs readers that: “After much consideration, we decided to have Snake refrain from using real-world guns -instead, he'll use lots of explosives.”
Ah that’s ok then. The kids’ minds won’t be twisted and ruined by letting him blow up stuff!
Super Smash Bros. Brawl will also feature a host of other videogaming icons, including Meta Knight, the sword-wielding nemesis of Kirby; Pit, the angelic archer from Kid Icarus; Zero Suit Samus, the powerful Metroid series heroine minus her versatile armor; and SPOnG’s all-time favourite, Wario, who attacks with “a noxious attack of gastronomic proportions.”
The opportunity to take Snake down with a big smelly Wario fart is the main reason why SPOnG is looking forward to playing Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Things like that make life worth living.

Oh and professor brain training man would be pretty good, while on this topic... One more - the Wii sports tennis Nintendo staff woul be quite amazing to have in Smash Bros. too.
