Summary

It's felt like a while coming, but Gran Turismo is finally on the PlayStation 4 with GT Sport. Proudly following the line set all those years ago by the first Gran Turismo, GT Sport takes players deep into a realistic recreation of high octane motorsports. Working with the FIA (Federation Internationale de l'Automobile), Polyphony Digital has finely tuned a game that it promises is perfectly calibrated for everyone from novices to seasoned petrolheads.

As ever, real cars have been closely modeled to replicate their real world counterparts in every detail, from the feel of the car on the track down to the stitching on the seats. Picking up from Gran Turismo 6, the game also continues the tradition of Vision Gran Turismo, enabling auto makers to bring their unique concepts for cars you won't see in the real world onto the tracks of GT Sport.

Speaking of tracks, favourites such as the Nürburgring Nordschleife (North Loop) return, but a number of new additions such as the legendary 'Tokyo Expressway' and the half-mile oval dubbed the 'Northern Isle Speedway' join them. There's a total of 19 tracks and 27 layouts on offer, ranging from the Mexican-American border to the heart of the Japanese metropolis.

Taking the level of reality to an even higher level, for the first time players get to immerse themselves even further into the world of GT and get right behind the wheel with the VR Tour Mode.

For multiplayer fans, however, the biggest addition to the game will be the involvement of the FIA in online play. The FIA will run the Nations Cup and the Manufacturers Cup as they would any of their real-world events, with winners honoured at the FIA's annual prize-giving ceremony in Paris!
