Star Wars: Obi-Wan’s Adventures

Leading developer completes heralded Star Wars title.

Croydon-based video game developer HotGen Studios has completed work on the eagerly anticipated Game Boy Color version of Star Wars: Obi-Wan's Adventures for LucasArts Entertainment Company and THQ Inc.

HotGen Studios' is regarded as one of the leading lights in UK game design and the completion of Obi-Wan's Adventures continues the firm's expansion as a global development force. Based on the events of Episode One: The Phantom Menace, Obi-Wan's Adventures is an exciting mix of arcade and fighting elements, with players guiding the Jedi Padawan through a succession of levels lifted from the film. Controlling Obi-Wan, players engage recognisable adversaries - including Darth Maul - in running light sabre battles, while Obi-Wan's mastery of 'The Force' is used to move seemingly impassable obstacles.

The game has been developed in close conjunction with LucasArts, the software arm of Star Wars creator, George Lucas', Lucasfilm group of companies and is just one of many top-level titles set to emerge from the Croydon team. "Obi-Wan's Adventures" is an excellent game and, an exciting step forward for HotGen," commented managing director Fergus McGovern.
