It's a pity there's no lemmings in the works for DS :(

It's the kind of game the DS would thrive on.

I'm not going to say never, but it's exceptionally unlikely to happen with Sony owning the rights to Lemmings.

When SCEE acquired Psygnosis?

Sony bought to company in 1993 and in 1999 Psygnosis became an official SCEE subsidiary, losing its identity in the process - boo!

The last "proper" release (not re-release/bundle) was Colony Wars: Red Sun in 2000.
