Eurogamer: "Eurogamer: Has the launch proved harder than you expected?
J Allard: No, we knew it was going to be really really hard. It's a really hard problem, but, you know, we're stepping up. As Gerhard (Florin, EA Europe chief) said yesterday, it takes guts, but it's the right thing to do, and often the right thing to do takes guts, and some things complicate it. Will it go without a hitch? No. We'll have some logistics issues, it's going to be difficult. We're buying a lot of capacity on planes and on boats and we're going to be co-ordinating a lot. Do I think it'll go flawlessly? I don't, but I think it's the right thing to do, and I think we'll look back on it more convicted [sic] than ever that it was the right thing to do, and we're very committed to it. It's a lot of late nights for a lot of people, and a lot of hard work, and we're going to get some heat. It's never fun to work really really hard and then get heat from the media, from retailers, from the consumer because we didn't have enough of the things or because something wasn't quite as perfect as we’d like it to be in our execution, but the team signed up for it, because it's the right thing to do."

What spong said about the article "We sat down with J Allard at X05 and asked him a few questions. Here’s the complete UK interview transcribed in full; "
In actuallity, it was Kristen Reed of eurogamer, not Daniel Boutros who did the interview. All Boutros did is rearange Reed's article so it may not look like he plagerized it on frist inspection.
Because spong does things like this, they will continue to be considered a second rate gaming page and will never be able to get actual interviews with anyone important.
Christ, you sound like a) a massive Eurogamer fanboy and b) someone who knows what he's talking about. This might just be part of the Spong content delievery b******s. Alternatively, you might be right.
it is very suspect... i havent the slightest either way... but i have my assumptions biased as they may be.
it should be considered however that mr allard speaks to tons of peopel on a daily basis and the number of questions one can ask about the forth comming system is also rather limited. plus the eery similarity in answers is not unreasonable since it was not exactly an exclsuive interview and im sure "j" as paroted (sp?) these same little musings and remarks to more people than i have hair folicls... none the less... official word would be nice.... guys?

1. It was an panel of interviewees. There was someone there from the FT, someone there from the Independent too.
2. You might notice that our piece is twice as long as the Euorgamer piece. The rest of the interview they'll publish in a few days I guess. You cock. If you'd bothered to read the whole thing rather than the first paragraph...
Think I've made my point. As for interviews with anyone important... All of the following were 100% exclusive 1-to-1 interviews:
You should go back to Eurogamer and re-read your half an interview. We'll be fine with the full transcript. While there, wonder who actually asked the questions that got published in the J Allard piece.
You should also avoid SPOnG for a blinding interview with an illusive development studio (Radiant SilverGun anyone) in the coming days...

In actuality, you don't have a clue what you are talking about. If we are ripping them off, how do you explain that our interview is twice as long as theirs?
When they publish a second half that is the same as ours, will you go one their forums and accuse them of ripping us off? No - thought not.
You do not post anything constructive to our forums. In fact, you have only posted twice, both times to pimp Eurogamer.

You really have no idea how a panel interview work, do you? Stop making a fool of yourself. Either shut the f**k up or only post when you have something interesting and constructive to contribute.

Or funny. We likes funny.
In the "ha-ha: belly-laugh way, not in the "sad and pathetic loser with no friends who just might turn up at work any day with an AK47 and put a hole in his supervisers head" sort of way that you're already posting.

Funny is good. True. Park it under "interesting", would you?
