Nintendo to Launch New 2DS Handheld Console in October

Will people who do not yet have a 3DS really buy one of these?

The reason I haven't bought a 3DS yet is because I don't see it as much of an upgrade.

The DSi was the last console I actually bought, before buying an iPad. I think that, until DS hardware matches it, I would be more likely to buy DS games if they were actually released on iPad. It's just that the DS is a bit behind, to be honest. They should make an upgraded, rather than a downgraded, version.
