Xbox co-creator’s exit strategy faster than expected
Seamus Blackley gets a proper job!
Facetious strapline aside, we love Seamus Blackley. A true visionary and genuinely nice bloke, the man was key in the inception of the Xbox and co-founded Capital Entertainment Group, a concept which, had it been a success, would have changed the face of the videogames industry for the better, forever.
However, it failed, so he had to get a new job and today, that job was revealed.
His post will entail, from what we can tell, garnering support from games firms for his new employer Creative Arts Agency, based out of Los Angeles.
“At CEG, we got a lot of people thinking about the right things in the game industry,'' Blackley said. "CAA is the place to carry on the fight.”
We wish all involved the very best.
