Sony Confirms Vodafone as PlayStation Vita 3G Partner
SCEE has confirmed that Vodafone will provide 3G connectivity for the new PlayStation Vita handheld. The confirmation states that this will, "initially be in the UK, Ireland, Italy, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Australia, New Zealand and The Netherlands, and with Vodafone’s Partners in France (SFR)."

We are also told that "customers will also be able to buy PS Vita 3G/Wi-Fi model direct from Vodafone channels, both online and in store. In addition, customers connecting with Vodafone will receive a free* PlayStation Network voucher for the high speed, anti-gravity racing title WipEout 2048 available to download from PlayStation Store."

There is a caveat to the "free PSN voucher", however, that is so incredibly ambiguous that it makes it meaningless. That caveat is that the offer is, "Subject to local conditions".

As usual, with this kind of thing, pricing is notably absent from the release.

PS Vita will be launching in PAL regions from 22ndFebruary 2012.

Full release is here.
