Resident Evil Revelations to be a True Horror Fest
The producers Takayuki Hama, Masachika Kawata (also producing The Mercenaries 3D) and director Koushi Nakanishi have shared some new details on their title currently in development, Resident Evil Revelations.

The game will be set on a cruise ship and is due to take place between the Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5 games in the franchise, following the activities of the recently formed BSAA anti bio-terror forces (formed in 2005).

Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine are confirmed for the game. A host of other BSAA members are due to make an appearance in the game too.

Kawata explained that the concept of the game will be to evoke a great sense of fear in players of the title. This will be realised through the older style of exploration and puzzling reminscent of early RE titles in the series. He added that through the developer's efforts they can evoke a feeling of fear so strong that the player will not want to move.

Nakanishi added that the 3D elements of the title will allow players to feel an increased sense of depth in the game's hallways and this is one of the major reasons why with Resident Evil Revelations the emphasis will most definitely be on the horror elements.

The title will allow freedom of movement for players whilst their gun is equipped as well as moving their viewpoint around freely. The game is also being developed with a new feel to how the gamer controls the play.

The game is currently 20% complete and has yet to receive a release date. be sure to keep checking SPOnG for updates on Resident Evil Revelations leading up to the title's eventual release date.
