UK Video Games Charts: Fable & FIFA Flip Fallout New Vegas Off

The new UK video game chart, from Chart Track, is in. Fable III has hit the top spot, taking it away from last week's champion, Fall Out: New Vegas. However, the Bethesda game doesn't just slip one place, it slips two, with FIFA 11 hitting the Number 2 spot.

According to Chart-Track, Fable III has gone 6,000 copies better than its predecessor in its first sales period and is the UK's 13th most successful Xbox 360 launch ever.

You'll also notice that LucasArts’ Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II is a new entry and Number 5. the console release for The Sims 3 (Number 3) sees the title re-enter the Top 10.

What hasn't been so spectacular for EA, however, is the performance of Rock Band 3, which sits in at Number 26. Indicating a lack of love for music-centric games, DJ Hero 2 plummets from 25th to 39th despite being talked up by the gaming media and advertised like hell by Activision Blizzard.
