Home Arcade Joy! Capcom’s Puzzle Fighter HD Imminent
The only real annoyance to SPOnG at E3 this year was that we missed the one Xbox Live Arcade/PlayStation Network downloadable game we really wanted to take a look at – Foundation 9/Capcom’s awesomely-named Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix, which we are informed is due sometime ‘very soon’.

From Capcom’s press bumpf: “One of the most popular games of the early ‘90s is reborn! Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix, originally developed by Capcom for the arcade, makes its downloadable debut on the Xbox LIVE® Arcade and PlayStation Network. Capcom will stay true to the foundation of the popular game by utilizing the original game code, while creating a fresh upgraded experience with new artwork and high resolution 1080p graphics. All of the art will be completely redrawn and created by UDON Comics, which currently publishes the official Street Fighter comic and is responsible for the new contemporary look of the Street Fighter franchise.”

Check the screens right here and stay tuned for an update on release date, pricing and more details on Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix as soon as we get it.

This will still be worth bagging, just to see how the characters are handled in HD. They'll give a better idea of how SSF2T is turning out.

Hurry up with SF2, Capcom, so many games are due to take our time over the run up to xmas.
