Nintendo’s Anime Cinema at Leipzig Games Convention
SPOnG was reminded to sort out our annual late August jaunt over to Leipzig earlier, when we heard the news that Nintendo is teaming up with TOKYOPOP to stage a 100-seat cinema throughout the show, showing a different anime and entertainment programme each day.

This is a lovely thing indeed. At least, it would be if you weren’t a harassed games journalist with a poor grasp of German or Japanese for that matter. It’s a hard life.

For gamers who just want to go along for the fun the Leipzig Games Convention is taking place at the Leipzig Exhibition Centre and is open to the public from August 23 - 26.

There will be nearly 400 companies touting their wares at this years show. If you want to know more or fancy going along yourself then head over to the official Games Convention website for further details.

If only I could go, anime and games being my favourite things.

Nintendo and Tokyopop, a good match there. They already get enough of my money but I'd happily give it for some good anime, manga and games.

Does this mean Wii Sports on the big screen, followed by a dose of anime? Why can't I get this kind of service at my local cinema? Boo. Lol
