Ubi Soft to take NewKidCo’s Video Games To Kids Around the World

NewKidCo and Ubi Soft sign international publishing agreement for NewKidCo's line up of popular children's video games.

BURLINGTON, MA (July 13th , 2000) - NewKidCo International Inc. and Ubi Soft Entertainment announced today that they have entered into a multi-year agreement. Ubi Soft Entertainment will publish NewKidCo’s video game titles, based on licensed characters from Disney Interactive, Sesame Workshop, Sony Pictures Consumer Products, Warner Bros. and others, internationally. Ubi Soft will add its expertise to quickly ramp up for this years key selling period. Under the deal, Ubi Soft has the rights to NewKidCo’s titles for the PlayStation game console and Nintendo’s GAME BOY Color platforms products in all PAL territories (All of Europe plus Australia, New Zealand and South Africa).

Hank Kaplan, President of NewKidCo stated, “We are very excited about the opportunity to expand our customer base in Europe with Ubi Soft, a leader in the video game business worldwide. Our relationship with Ubi Soft will afford us access to their broad experience, not only with respect to distribution, but also product development and marketing”.

Those popular characters on widespread formats will allow the group to entertain large audiences on an international scale.
