Mr Sakaguchi is the executive producer of the Final Fantasy series and has overseen the series since its introduction in 1987. He is currently working on the movie of Final Fantasy which is scheduled for completion in 2001.

Hironobu Sakaguchi's first video game work that SPOnG is aware of is the 1987 title, "The 3-D Battles of World Runner" (NES) . Of the titles listing Hironobu within the credits , "Final Fantasy IX" (PlayStation), "Final Fantasy X" (PS2), "Final Fantasy X-2" (PS2), "Final Fantasy VII" (PlayStation), "Final Fantasy VIII" (PlayStation) has been a best selling title.
