Third-Person Shooter MMO MicroVolts Launches Closed Beta
Canada continues to be a place where up-and-coming MMO games can flourish - Markham-based Rock Hippo Productions is putting the final touches to its third-person PC shooter MicroVolts, and the closed beta is going live today.

Playing as one of four different toy-sized characters, fighting in a human-sized world, it's got something of a cross between Chibi Robo and Unreal Tournament going on. As well as customisation options, cartoony violence and tons of levels and weaponry, MicroVolts has a bundle of social media features that will certainly help in this age of Facebook gaming.

"You're not too late" to join the Beta if you haven't done so already - despite invitations only being accepted today. If this seems like your kind of thing, head on over to the game's official website and keep track of all the online updates planned.
