With the release of Michael Bay's live action film adaptation comes the inevitable game tie-in, giving you the opportunity to rampage through the city as a giant robot in disguise.
If you've somehow managed to miss the whole concept of Transformers over the last two decades (they are disguised, you know) they're a bunch of rather large robots with a penchant for transforming into vehicles. Players can choose to play as either Autobots (good guys) or Decepticons (bad guys) and make their way through a range of missions.
Up for grabs are the likes of Optimus Prime, Megatron, Ironhide, Starscream, Bumblebee and Barricade as you make your way through destructible landscapes (we know, when you're a giant robot, everything's destructible) and brawl and shoot it out with other Transformers. If your fists and long range arsenal aren't enough, you can hurl just about anything that comes to hand at you opponents. To keep things interesting, you can also transform on the fly to bamboozle your opponents and smash stuff up.
We just can't help but feel that, whoever wins, we lose. Yeah. It's like that... << less
