Summary

It's been a while now since the galaxy of Star Wars entered the mighty empire of Disney, but with 2015 being the year that fans finally get to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens, there was no way we weren't going to get to see Luke, Leia, Han and co in Disney Infinity.

So, here they are! With Disney Infinity 3.0 a whole host of Star Wars characters enter the fray, and they're playable alongside established heroes from the worlds of Marvel, Disney and Pixar.

The set-up is familiar to Disney fans now. As well as the base game, players get real-life figures which they use to activate in-game characters and content, including upgradeable skills and, in this case, lightsabre-wielding abilities for all the characters in the Toy Box!

Toy Box, which is the mode where you can mix up characters from the various different worlds, gets a few upgrades, too. There's now a 3D Toy Box Hub in which players can try their hand at different experiences, including platforming, racing and farming simulation.

New play sets unlock new worlds, with a wealth of new goodies set for the game both at and after launch. The headlines are the Star Wars: Twilight of the Republic play set, Star Wars: Rise Against the Empire play set and the Star Wars: The Force Awakens Play Set. Adventures and characters from all three generations of Star Wars aren't the only new toys added to the set, though. There are a set from Pixar’s Inside Out and a new Marvel play set both set to launch as part of 3.0.
