The Raving Rabbids have always been known to bring the madness and excitement to any party. The Rabbids' first game on the Nintendo 3DS, however, is not a collection of bizarre minigames but in fact an action-platformer. And a rather mental one at that!
As always, these little critters have another ingenious way to invade and conquer the human world. And sure enough, it’s wackier than anything - go back in time and change the course of history so that Rabbids reign!
Using their Time Washing Machine, you’ll get to play as the mad bunch of bunnies throughout 60 different levels in four unique time periods. Go to ancient Egypt and wreck the place, or journey faaar back into the prehistoric era and start going crazy. The colourful 2D worlds pop out at you in stereoscopic 3D, making your platforming even more immersive.
Rayman Origins
Rayman Origins is a true return to the series’ classic 2D platforming roots. The art style, the enemies, the frustratingly challenging level design... it’s all present and correct.
Hand-drawn environments and characters beam with colourful and endearing animations. You notice this more when playing the game with multiple players - up to three of your mates can join you in your quest to collect blue orbs and punch various cartoon creatures in the face. Seeing big friendly blob thing Globox ‘crouch’ by squishing his entire body into the floor is both crazy and genuinely chuckle-worthy.
50 stages full of 2D platforming, with new paths to unlock will keep you at this game for a long time to come. Together, you’ll ultimately need to work hard to restore the Glade of Dreams and protect it from the evil Darktoons.
Rabbids Rumble
The zany, wacky French Rabbids come to the Nintendo 3DS and are making the most of their new-found three dimensional freedom in a series of madcap mini-games. The game mixes strategy and classic Ravin' Rabbids' humour.
The gamer's task is to track down and capture more than 100 Rabbids – each of which has their own unique and delirious combat ability. These quests must be carried out in seven fully realised cartoonish worlds. Once captured, the Rabbids must be trained up to the top of their fighting class and then unleashed in single-player mode, 1v1 battles or online multiplayer that can also make use of the Nintendo's 3DS's unique Street Pass and Spot Pass features.
