The Amazing Spider-Man 2 - Xbox 360

Your friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man just can't stay out of the spotlight for too long. Along with the second series in Sony's Amazing Spider-Man series, gamers also get a chance to step into the lycra of the webbed wonder for their own adventure, courtesy of publisher Activision and developer Beenox, the studio behind Spider-Man: The Edge of Time and the first Amazing Spider-Man film tie-in.

While the game sits alongside the events of the film, it comes with its own plot and doesn't just have the player re-enact what they've already seen in the movie. Kraven the Hunter is in town. He's determined to make Spidey a stronger predator, and that's going to see him going up against a whole menagerie of exotic enemies. The game also thrusts Spidey's nerdy alterego, photo-journalist Peter Parker, into the limelight as he investigates the backgrounds of the villains making Manhattan a very dangerous place to be.

Once again, players will be able to swing through a free-roaming Manhattan, offering plenty of opportunities to put his powers to the test. New to this game is the 'Hero or Menace' system, which will see players rewarded for coming down hard on crime or face the consequences if they let it fester.
