Summary

Master Chief is back. And yet, it almost feels like he’s never been away. It’s crazy to think that Halo 4 is being released some five years after Bungie’s Halo 3 - but the mascot of the Xbox is ready to take you all on a brand new space-age adventure.

Set four years after the events of Halo 3, Master Chief is awakened to discover an ancient evil that’s threatening to destroy the entire universe. The universe, you say? No problem. Fighting the Covenant and the Flood seems to be enough training for Chief to get ready for this!

The first in a series of Halo games by 343 Industries, Halo 4 will include brand new enemies in the Prometheans - which will force players to rethink their usual combat strategies in the campaign - as well as interesting weapons and gameplay features. As you would expect, gorgeous set pieces will highlight Chief’s galactic struggle as he tries to stop this evil threat.

Naturally, multiplayer is a big part of the Halo experience, and it returns in full force in Halo 4. All the usual deathmatch and capture the flag modes remain, as well as a new mode called Spartan Ops - a co-operative mode packed full of episodic missions which aim to tell a branching story.

With this Game of the Year Edition, players get the added bonus of loads of content released since the game first launched. Included are the Champions Bundle and the War Games Map Pass, as well as 15 additional pieces of in-game and avatar content!
