Summary
The Shin Megami Tensei series is known for having rather strange premises, largely focusing on the supernatural. Devil Survivor was no exception, set in a version of Tokyo where the government has locked down the city in response to a surprise demon invasion.
You lead a rag-tag band of friends who take it upon themselves to investigate the threat, and to learn more about the interdimensional rift that allows demons to enter Tokyo from the underworld. Saving the world isnt top on the list of priorities for you and your friends, however - survival is the name of the game here.
Devil Survivor Overclocked sees the original game get a significant update for the Nintendo 3DS. The action is accompanied with voice acting for every character, while the open, multiple-ended story now includes a special eighth chapter which serves as a fascinating conclusion to the games events. And as you would expect from Nintendos stereoscopic handheld, the visuals have been improved to accommodate the 3D effects. Character artwork and graphics have also been enhanced to take advantage of the consoles extra power.
Take to the underworld, fix the troublesome interdimensional portal, rid Tokyo of the menacing demon monsters and save the world!
