Summary
The Anno series of strategy games comes bang up to date in fact, it goes beyond it and into the future with Anno 2070.
Developed by Related Designs in collaboration with Blue Byte, Anno 2070 puts the player into a global environment that climate change has altered terribly. This has forced humankind to adapt as rising sea levels have left stretches of once-fertile land totally inhospitable.
The game sticks with the basic strategic fundamentals familiar to players of previous games in the Anno series. However, there is one main addition in that this time around, players will be able to build massive cities.
The world of Anno 2070 will evolve based on how the player actually plays the game. Their decisions will impact on the environment, including the architectural look of their world, their populations requirements. This of course, is heavily based on skilled resource management.
The player must choose between competing two factions in order to build their empire: either industrial with the Tycoons or more environmentally-friendly if they joing the Ecos.
The game can also be played in a variety of modes including:
Campaign Mode: the single-player, story-driven game that entails meeting various challenges.
The single player Continuous mode, which Anno games are well known for and in which the the objective is to build the biggest civilization possible.
Multiplayer local and Online features are also included.
With this Complete Edition, players get plenty of content beyond the original game. Also included are the Deep Ocean expansion set and three lots of DLC.
